Classic childrens books

I can’t say enough good things about CURIOUS GEORGE! He is a classic! We all grew up with him (seeing as how he was created in 1941!), and it’s nice to see our kids growing up with him too. It’s amazing to me how he has stayed relevant throughout the years! There are so many Curious George stories and there’s even a TV show. We can read and watch his stories over and over again and never become tired of him.

I also use Curious George stories to remind my child of dangers by bringing up certain predicaments that George would get into. When I tell him “Remember when Curious George ate the puzzle and had to go to the hospital?” or “Remember when Curious George reached into the pond to get a fish and he fell in?”, he thinks back to the story and immediately knows what I am trying to tell him. Curious George not only helps parents, but really entertains kids as well. He’s one of my all time favorites and I enjoy revisiting his stories again with my child, even all these years later.

Books

Two of our kids favorites are “The Gruffulo”, and “the Snail and the Whale”, both by Julia Donaldson and Axel Sheiffler (amazon link). I think the books are good for kids from approx 18 months on.
