We couldn’t decide whether to get a crib or a bassinet for our newborn son and this was recommended to us. This is a bassinet that “grows” into a crib. Take a look here, (http://www.stokkeusa.com/sleepi.htm) it’s amazing.
We love it overall. Love the simple design, the colors, and the space saving feature. This is also on wheels so you can move it around and rock the baby. The minuses is that you need special sheets for the bassinet - only Stokke sheets - but that’s a small price to pay for this convenience! We really recommend this crib!

Because of the SIDS risk, baby matresses fit incredibly tightly into the crib. This makes it *very* difficult to change the fitted sheet on a regular basis. Plus, you’ve got the bumper pads in the way. Some people suggested waterproof protectors to go over the fitted sheet, but my daughter always ended up moving them around.
The best product I found to save me the hassle of taking off that fitted sheet was the Basic Comfort Ultimate Crib Sheet. It snaps in place by attaching to the crib bars. It is soft, absorbent and stayed in tact through many many washings. Such a time/energy saver!
