Toys (0-4)

A big hit with a little car!

Patrol carI don’t know what it is about this car - the Little Tikes Patrol Car specifically - vs. other toddler vehicles but all the kids in the playroom love this car. It’s a must have to keep kids entertained for hours, as they stay glued to it! It has an electronic microphone & 7 siren sounds, working door, horn and clicking key, a reflective light bar and easily maneuverable. It’s almost like a must have toy. Not kidding, take a look for yourself! click here

Great Activity Center

The Baby Einstein Discover & Play center is great for a 6 month to 1 year plus old. They love to play with all the things on it and it keeps them in one place while you do other things. No worries of them crawling into
dangerous areas. Even my 3 year old enjoys jumping in there and playing with all the “activities”. I saw that there is currently one up for swapping on the Tots site and you can get it for almost nothing. See it here. It’s a really great toy.

Great first scooter!

I wanted to get my son a scooter and this is a great one to start. It is “My 1st Scooter” by Radio Flyer (and quite styling!) It has 2 wheels in the front instead of 1 so he took to it instantly. There is no learning process and it is great fun for him. I also brought him a helmet, safety first! There is also a pink version for girls.

Two of everything for twins?

As the Mom of twins, I had a difficult time in the first year figuring out when I needed two of a toy and when I could have one for the two kids to share. When it comes to exersaucers, jolly jumpers and baby play mats, I would have to say that one was enough. I would rotate the kids from one to another and they were happy with the change of activity. As they grew older, it was more often that we needed two of these types of toys. After about 1-1.6 years, our kids each needed their own toy stoller and they also had a difficult time sharing ride on toys. A great toy that they could share is a pop up tunnel and tent that folds flat after use. It’s large enough for the two of them to play in at the same time and it’s easy to hide away. They’re available from Leaps and Bounds, Playhut, Pop Up Co., and I’m sure many other manufacturers.
